SB 472 provides professional development around the successful implementation of State Board of Education (SBE) adopted Mathematics and Reading and Language Arts instructional materials. The SB472 40-hour institute targets the following: program organization, knowledge and awareness of current and confirmed research, content standards/frameworks, universal access, assessment, planning and implementation.
Sacramento County Office of Education is an SBE approved provider. Download a list of approved training programs.
Fee: $750 - $1,000 per person, depending on individual district needs. Districts may be eligible for reimbursement funding. Participants may register online:

- English/Language Arts 2002 Adopted materials
- English/Language Arts 2008 Adopted materials

There are a variety of training options for the SBE-adopted 2007 Mathematics 2002 and 2008 Reading Language Arts instructional materials:
- 3-Day Training
- 2-Day Training
- 1-Day Training
- 3-Hour Modules
