The Center for Student Assessment and Program Accountability (C-SAPA) has skills and experience in applied research and program evaluation studies to address critical student needs and develop improved educational programs for students. C-SAPA combines the relevant program area expertise with the technical capabilities to develop and implement high quality research and evaluation projects, including study design, development of survey and assessment tools, data collection and management, scanning capabilities, statistical analysis, and reporting and disseminating results.
Participants
CSAPA has been highly successful in securing grants and contracts to support and enhance education in California public schools. Recent projects include communications activities for the Standards and Assessment Division of the California Department of Education (CDE); independent evaluations of the Free to Learn character-based education program, the Art and Reading Together arts education program, and a California Mathematics and Sciences Partnership grant; data support for the County Committee on School District Organization; technical assistance for AYP program improvement schools and districts; and research services for schools and school districts in the Sacramento County region.
